We can only STR IVE. Every question has an answer Every problem, a solution All we have to do is search for the answer that lies deep within our minds Notes; TEXT Tagged; @tag Thread; Looking for parts | It wasn't often that Kayne made it outside of his sector of the panopticon. As much as he wanted to, he couldn't really find the time, being in charge of everything and anything involving Abductors.Today, he didn't exactly have the time to be out and about, but if he had to spend another day in that damned factory, he just might lose it. It wasn't just one amounting issue either. It was a long list, which Kayne had quite literally compiled while he was taking one of his rare (and much needed) breaks. The office in which Kayne practiclly lived in oversaw the factory in which the abductors were manufactured. There was exactly one horizontal window that gave the civilian a view of the entire factory. When his office grew too quiet, he would open this window, only to be greeted by a blast of deafening noise from the activities below, in which he couldn't concentrate in. Going down into the action wasn't an option. There was already enough civilians working that, if he himself decided to fit himself into the production line, he would most likely cause an accident. Any new employees had already gone through orientation and were under the supervision of one of the more experienced workers, so that was also out of the question. Then, buried deep in his mountain of paperwork, he found a permit to repair an old abductor that a sinner had found out on the field. He had submitted the request to investigate and repair the abductor months ago. It was about damn time that the office of peace and stability gave him permission to do so. It would seem that the authorities were still skeptical of ex-sinners having as much power as he did. As soon as he found the life-changing parchment, Kayne had immediately rushed out of his cramped office to see the abductor that he had so long waited to investigate. It was an all-purpose biped abductor that had taken quite a beating. An older model, too, and missing a few parts. Finally, something to alleviate his boredom. Kayne now milled about the Zakka, observing different parts and tools that he may or may not need for his new project. "Don't you have anything smaller?" Kayne said, turning what he assumed used to be a nexus board, over in his hand. "Smaller?" The other civilian looked at Kayne as if he were an idiot. "Nexus boards don't come any smaller than that. You're the head of abductor manufacturing, aren't you? You should know this." Kayne only shrugged and narrowed his eyes at the part. "Hmm... maybe I could cut it down some..?" |
